We took about 7 hours in total, allowing for stops, breaks and about an hour at Wave's house followed by a twisty route home.

Took me 5 hours to get home with minimal stops but I only went about 70 or 80mph all the way up.

Shouldn't take you much more than 3hrs if you keep a steady pace and minimal stops.

Was having a look at wave and he reckons from his house 3 1/2 hours at a steady pace.

Doesn't want to go on his ducati so wants me to take him, cheeky cunt. Laughing

Understandable, would you ride a ducati that far from home and trust it to get you back after?

Cool, can you also show me how to fit 1L of oil under the seat? Confused

If anybody is coming up the A1 or M1, let me know and I'll meet you up somewhere around Worksop/Doncaster/Sheffield and show you the fun way up to Jimmy's not using the A1 or A19 all the way.

Apparently my gran & grandpa are having a suprise joint 70th birthday party so we are going up friday night coming back sunday.

It's in Newcastle so i could always ride up friday night and head over to newcastle saturday morning.

Will have to have a think. Confused

The trick is two put them at a angle then you can get two bottles under there and a funnel in the space behind the stop lamp wrapped in a rag, have been thinking about boring the ace out to 1040cc or have new 1070cc liners fitted in the winter total cost if l do the work my self and send the cycilnder of with the £300+ wisco pistions should be any more than £500-600 in total.

It's a real shame i can't come to the bbq as i'm fairly new to biking and very new to this site!

Be nice to get some scope from other bikers and just have a laugh and put names with faces.

I cannot come though as i'm out for my birthday in manchester.

Only looked it up because anothe BCF™ member rickholt asked me if i wanted to go

Hopefully there will be another really soon

It would be handy to know where it is we are meeting and at what kind of time. In particular, where is the sleeping place ? Is it Doncaster ?

I had originally intended to come up on the Friday, but I now have other plans on the Friday which might extend into saturday morning.

Once I know where it is, I can find out how long it takes to get there and what time i have to set off.

It wd be easier for me I if could meet you somewhere on the saturday afternoon or maybe after your saturday rideout b4 you hit the pubs.

I have Maurices number so I might head up when I can and find out where you are when i get near.

My bike is a lot easier to change gears now i have adjusted the chain slack. The strange unsettling before taking a corner which extreme thought was due to me braking mid corner, was due to the slack getting caught up and the back wheel then engaging.
Much smoother now.

That's further than I thought (154 miles for me direct), I can see a nicer route going via the Cat and Fiddle though so it's all good.
