security for my garage. need advice

ok now the summer is here theres more likely for my bikes 2 be nicked.
now i lock my bikes in my garage out side its a metal shed.
i would like 2 know wot i could fit 2 make it like safe.
i will be fitting a light out side asap
but is there some kind off like security like u fit inside off your house like when someone moves in my garage the alarm goes off?

Best security This applies just as well with bikes as it does cars.

A baby monitor's a good cheap way to hear if anyone's breaking in to your garage. You could also get a cheap PIR alarm from B&Q.

i dont normay go 2 bed till early hours in the morning and i mean early so i can hear if my alarm goes off and my bedroom is at the back off the house were my garage is and i allways have my windows open so i can hear if any one trys 2 mess with my garage.
but a baby monitor aint a bad idea

na unless i bought another bolt thing . cant find the right word for it.
need 2 buy a decent pad lock as well. wot make is a decent pad lock? square? i dont know if they r any good . the padlock i got on there now has like the same system as like the oxford locks have like that funny shape key. lol

I use one of these. A lot of businesses use these on main gates and shutters so they are quite good. You really do get what you pay for with padlocks, i wouldn't even bother using anything under £50.

If you have a house alarm it's usually possible to put a couple of additional PIR's in the garage and hook them up to the main house alarm.

how much are you looking to spend?? am I right in saying you have the bikes in a garage??

Could you buy a extendible pole that stops the garage door being opened??

yer i got mine and my sis bike in there. i got 2 but soon 2 sell one and my sis is moveing her bike out 2 park it round her house so i will only have one bike in there.
na a pole wouldnt do nothink

i got a battery powered censer alarm from aldi for about £5 you get a little button that u put on your garage keys then when you go in you just point it at it and it goes of but if u dont and you walk through the beam it goes off and is very load.i not sure if aldi still have them through but they are good for 5 pounds Thumbs Up

get some electric conducting paint and link all the bike batterys together and fry the fuckers, (only prob is finding where to buy the paint from)
