I've just got one of these and with the help of Shaun have got it running a snes emulator! Very Happy

What I want to know is how do you go about getting ISO's and how do you run them, all of the PSP forums refuse to let them be talked about because of piracy and stuff, I have 2 games 'backed up' but they aren't even in an ISO file? Confused

Anyone got an idea of what the fuck you're supposed to do?

You need to be running version 1.5 for a start or at least you did need to, you can now run a app that tricks the psp into thinking its running all firmware from 1.5 upto 2.1.

you will also need at least a 1 meg card, then if you want to run naughty games you can either have RIPPED game which is usualy smaller in size or a full umd rip which is the same size as the original umd.
Its not hard to put the iso's on th psp and is just a matter of loading the iso to the correct folder that you will make on your psp.
If this has nothing to do with what you are asking thenjust ignore me as i tend to ramble.(its to do with old age)

this is how to lay it out on your psp using the latest fastloader(the app that lets the psp use cracked iso's

Layout that needs to be on your PSP:

ISO/
[ put iso files here ]

ISOMISC/
backpic.bmp : Background picture (standard)

PSP/
GAME/
FASTLOADER/
EBOOT.PBP : The fastloader
FASTLOADER%/
EBOOT.PBP : V1.5 exploit infofile

You can rename ISOs to more friendly name, even spaces are allowed.
You can place ISO-specific background pictures in drawer ISOMISC/.

Examples:

Humma Kavula <- ISO filename in drawer ISO/
backpic_Humma Kavula.bmp <- Backround picture for above ISO in drawer ISOMISC/

Yadda.iso <- ISO filename in drawer ISO/
backpic_Yadda.iso.bmp <- Backround picture for above ISO in drawer ISOMISC/

Background picture format is BMP 480 x 272 , 24bit.

Howdy

It's running version 1.5 and using a program called devhook to allow games meant for up to version 2.5 to run from the UMD. The issue is not so much how to load them but the form they're being downloaded in. I get the impression from the very sketchy tutorials I've read and scraps of information floating around that the main file should be a .ISO but when downloaded there is never a .ISO file to be seen, just a shit load of files in a folder named ISO. Do these files need to be somehow compressed into a .ISO?

Then your downloading bad copys m8.

Every single psp title i errrr have shall we say is downloaded in rar format the size of each rar being 14 meg, these rars are then extractwed with winrar and this will then give you the iso(this can be identified by its size as well as its file extension.

If you want to try a real release and can use ftp then give me a pm and i,ll sort you a few out.

Hi
When ever I dowload games I either get a single .iso file, or 2 depending on number of discs or s fuck load of compressed files. If you get thses, normally you only have to extract 1 as they all link to each other, extracted they normally form some kindof disc image file, if its not .iso there are programs that convert it quite easily.

Probably not on topic but it might help someone.

Luke

Anyone know a decent dvd->Psp movie file converter? I have used PSPVideo 9 before but it takes a while and leaves the 'letterbox' on the top and bottom, though quality is good.

Any others to try?

I was going to flog the PSP (v2 d/graded to v1.5 with all the 'trimmings' etc) but might try to get some use out of it as a portable movie player if I can get the conversion sorted out satisfactorily.

Any links etc greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Paul
