Contemplating getting a cheaper bike as i cant use mine much due to money
Max i want to spend is £1500, no older than '95. Ive seen a few ZX6rs etc for around this price.
If theres anything going then i have a '02 CBR F Sport up for sale/part exchange  ____________________ || Past: 1991 Kawasaki ZXR 250 ~ 2003 Honda CBR 600 F Sport ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1999 Yamaha R1 ~ 1999 Kawasaki ZX6R J ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1998 Honda VTR1000F Firestorm ~ K1 GSXR 600 Track bike ~ K6 GSXR 1000 ~ 2006 Speed Triple 1050 || Current: 2005 R1 https://www.adrucore.co.uk |

Yes, beggers cannot be choosers Adam I'm afraid.
TT600 is a good idea. Underrated is mainly why they are so cheap. Ok, not as razor sharp as your cbr I bet but I bet you couldn't get the best out of the tt let alone the Cbr.
Thundercat (is going to be a bit of a dog), F&G model zx6r, zxr750, YZF750's, FZR600's (Ok not all are 600, do they HAVE to be)
I'm thinking you're not going to get a good trade-in price if going for a dealer. Best sell private but even then you're gonna lose a fair bit. That's life. |

Shouldnt think id loose too much, bought for £3700, most prices seem to be around that on autotrader
i really am liking this if it can be got a little but cheaper. Thing is i put the post code in to a route planner and is actually more 70/80 miles away than biketraders 55...
How much would my bike sell for, 52 plate, generaly tidy, new rear tyre, all round new pads, 23k ish miles, service history up to January i think.
If i could get the zx6r for ~£1800 id be reasonably happy. Im not trying to wipe out the whole loan, just get it down atleast £1k whilst finding a full time job. This time next year ill be a millionaire  ____________________ || Past: 1991 Kawasaki ZXR 250 ~ 2003 Honda CBR 600 F Sport ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1999 Yamaha R1 ~ 1999 Kawasaki ZX6R J ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1998 Honda VTR1000F Firestorm ~ K1 GSXR 600 Track bike ~ K6 GSXR 1000 ~ 2006 Speed Triple 1050 || Current: 2005 R1 https://www.adrucore.co.uk |

Hmmm....difficult one. £3k should be ok, perhaps a teeny bit more. Problem is the mileage but it's a honda...people generally think they're indestructable so might go for £3200. Which you know...isn't too bad since you bought from a dealer.
Re: the other bike. Bit steep for an F model really. They are generally tatty bikes in my opinion, got to keep your eye out for a minter. Just remember, I got my J1 00' Ninja in October for only £1800 (bargain of the century ) Visordown is a great place for bargains. I say keep your eye on that and also, put your bike up on there too. |

Welcome to my other thread: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=86149
Looking at the prices on there the F's seem to go for atleast £500 less than the others and they generally have higher miles.
(theres a link somwhere in there to bike trader zx6rs within 60 miles of me)
There is a F model down the road from me outside a workshop place (all the bikes outside seem to be "customers" bikes there selling...) for £1300, seems verry tatty, rusty, 32k miles, and has a flat spot at abour 3k or somthing they cant get rid of. Cant remember the point i was trying to make so im going to click submit...  ____________________ || Past: 1991 Kawasaki ZXR 250 ~ 2003 Honda CBR 600 F Sport ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1999 Yamaha R1 ~ 1999 Kawasaki ZX6R J ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1998 Honda VTR1000F Firestorm ~ K1 GSXR 600 Track bike ~ K6 GSXR 1000 ~ 2006 Speed Triple 1050 || Current: 2005 R1 https://www.adrucore.co.uk |

Oh it'll work alright...breakers buy bikes that have been written off...well when I say breakers, some are still "bike shops"....one in particular always sticks out in my mind...think its situated in Swindon...always got a green border round its page...
Cannae mind.
Helpful eh  |
