my bike currently wont idle and goes in and out of having power. i have stripped the carb and its fine also checked the rc valve it does not move when i start the bike up or anything but if i open it full it moves it back and seems to be ok. someone suggested the rings might be worn and that fitting a new piston and rings will help surely crap rings wouldn't affect idle or would it? the bike runs ok at full pelt and fine in the high gears but keeping it at 2000rpm or just below is a nightmare and even trying to move from acceleration is murder but fins once in motion. it just started to do this after a big long 110 mile round trip. anyone any ideas what could be causing it? i have always had the rc valve make a warble noise and splutter before kicking in at 6000 revs but you can feel it working. i have a clip of it here. ill try upload it later to show.

think its a compression problem its not the exhaust. i have two exhausts one original that works fine from my other bike and have already swapped over. i think its time for a new piston and some rings.
