Im after the restrictor plate sizes for a thundercat 600 (97-99) model, just going to get a dyno run Thumbs Up

Was also thinking about a throttle stop? im sure i could make the throttle stop at a certain rpm/speed, even if its miles under the 33bhp point, it doesnt really matter if its 10bhp, a little info would be extremely greatfull.

im doing it incase i get a producer, as im sure theyll ask to see the cert Sad

many thanks Thumbs Up

Pull a HT lead or 2 off or stuff a few pairs of socks in the airbox. Theres loads of ways to make the graph look the part.

Why not just draw one on your computer? Google "dyno graph" to get an authentic looking layout then sketch your own graph just how you want it.

Actaully, it would still probably put out around 50bhp running on 2. Could try 1 Shocked Laughing

Seriously, just draw one and print it out. The chances of plod asking for it are slim and the chances of them spotting a real one over one you just made up are non existant.

In my opinion, it's unneccesarily paranoid to expect to get a producer for it. There's no way to tell, so why would they suspect? Half the coppers out there don't even know the ins and outs of bike licence laws. Thumbs Up

I've been riding around for 3 months now and I haven't been pulled once, and I have done considerably worse things than riding without restrictors, as far as the law is concerned. Shhh!

Thinking

Is anyone back this up about drawing a graph? (No offence Spanner Wink )

Would they not check the place where you got it done or would you just leave it without a company name?

BTW, ive had 2 producers and got pulled over for doing 42 in a 30, never said anything about 33BHP and they were traffic cops Thumbs Up

Quick power runs tend to be informal things, most of the time they don't even ask your name so i can't see how they would be able to check. A genuine one would likely just have YZF600 written somewhere on it.

But i wouldn't even worry about it. The desk sergeant probably wouldn't know what a dyno graph was let alone ask you for it.

I had a fairly serious accident, had a producer, 19 year old on a 600.

Restriction was never mentioned.

Dont bother doing it for the sake of a certificate, you arent legally required for one, the police cant ask you to produce one. Ive been puller over loads, and given loads of producers, its not an issue Thumbs Up

well i fitted a set of restricted carb sliders in my bandit 600, and took it for a dyno but it came out at 36.5BHP, a quick scan in and a bit of handy work on photoshop and it was showing 32.5BHP, this was sent to the insurance company as they said they wanted proof

PS dont forget to change the tourqe figures aswell!
