Feef man, you really have my sympathy.

I've just split with my gf after 5 years. I still see her around, we've got a lot of common friends and we're really trying to just be friends. But I don't think it's working. Seeing her still makes me happy, then I just have to go through the pain of remembering we're not together anymore - again.

Give yourself some space. Take some time, meet new people.

All the best mate, I hope it all works out good for you

Sorry to hear that mate. Sad

Does seem to be the season to get single. Confused

Try to stay positive, and keep yourself as busy as you can. It's only when you get a chance to sit down and mull things over that you get really upset with things.

You should get yourself a ticket for Rock and Blues and come get pissed for the weekend (last weekend in July, tickets are £35 which includes camping for 3 nights)

Sorry to hear the news matey.

I've been with my other half for 3 years and just as in previous relationships, I find myself not wanting love but the companionship. Perhaps I'm just still young at 25, I don't know.

I've been with people before and ended the relationship as we became incredibly good friends, but there just wasn't a 'partnership' there any more. I'm still incredibly close to that same person, every time I see them, I am comfortable and dont need to worry about the past and everyone see's that. Stupid huh?

Not quite sure the relevance of my post. But anyway, you're not alone. And 32 is not old, my sister is the same age and she's met her new fella not so long ago. It just becomes harder to pull 18 y/o students. Wink

Chin up buddy!

You seem to be treating the end of relationship's as though they need to be completely removed from your memory so as not to plague you throughout your life.

I use the pragmetic view like thief so this help's me.

Treat it like a bike crash, or any other accident/mishap you may have. You've done it once and did'nt like the result, you don't stop riding your bike though, you merely take on board the past and avoid repeating it.

Sh*t. Embarassed Laughing

Still, you are near a huge uni I guess. Perhaps you should sign up for a part time course, get an NUS card and loiter round student union bars.

Not that I do anything like that of course. Shifty

Shit dude!

I remember vaugely how much you adored that woman......

I think the best thing about all this is that your not a wanker, and she's not a twat either.
You've just found your moving in different directions and settled things for the better.

That's something to keep in the back of your mind, your a good person, and you treat women well, you'll find someone more suited to your way of thinking and perhaps create that stable surrounding you long for.

I suggest going mad for a bit though, let loose, kick out the cobwebs and party like you've got a month to live.

Good luck with it all Feef. Wink Thumbs Up

Not saying to much on here as i dont like to air my dirty washing in public, but trying being 40 years old living together for almost 24 years and being told your not wanted anymore, loved anymore and generaly told "its over"

Now thats a killer and yes it really hurts after you have tried to make a full life commitment to somebody.

but enough anyway.
