No doubt it's been posted before, but just wanted to try and get a cross section of what type of riders use this forum.

I'm "Most".

Commute every day of the week.

Bike is my only transport, so I ride most weekends as well.

Only don't ride when
1) Lots of ice on the ground
2) I'm still too drunk in the morning after the night before (like today)

2nd from bottom, used to be all. Now I don't see the point, I'd rather stay able bodied and keep my bike in one piece.

'When I feel like it'.

It's not weather related, it's mood and purpose related.

I see where you're coming from, I'd love a car so I could go shopping, and pick up bike stuff from eBay.

Even when the purpose of the journey is to get somewhere, rather than the journey itself, I still like taking the bike.

I ride my bike everyday as its my only means of transportation and at weekends I generally end up exploring somewhere. Really bad weather is what usually stops me riding.

The Blade's my only form of personal transportation (except for the pushbike), but I only ride it when the weather's good - which is a shame, as I used to ride all year round.

Once I get a second bike, I'll put a stop to my fair weather riding inclinations.

Every day.

Its for commuting.
As long as Ican get out of my estate (never gitted) then the weather is good enough for riding.

Commute March - November, too much salt Dec, Jan & Feb and untreated ice, its just not worth it where I live. There's even an outside ski slope that opens when it snows, with pullys and everything. So yes I have ski'd on snow but never abroad.

Only have 1 car & 1 bike, thus wife uses car during the week, I tend to only use car at weekends.

I intend to buy a crap car for winter and the sell it come March.

Most of the time, didn't use it when it was snowing if i'd had a cg i would have, (i was trying to build one back up for such an occasion)

And when things that are not possible to carry on a bike (allthough this didn't include a zxr750 minus the frame, engine and wheels, its still a shitload of stuff let me tell ye)

If i had a new shiney bike i'd only ride in the sun, but i don't, i chose my bike because it will ride though any shat thats thrown at it, really hate driveing a car tbh..

If I'm going for a ride out with mates then it don't matter but if I just need to get somewhere like work and its rainin or shitty and cold then I take the car.

Why ? because I can. As much as I enjoy the bike I don't see the point of being wet and cold at work when I don't need to.

I must admit to laughin at any poor git on a bike in the pissin down cold rain when Im in the cage with the heater on and the wipers goin. Thinkin to myself "ya poor bastard"

I have to admit i am a weekend warrior now.

I use my car when it raining cold or the weather just looks shite.

Bike for the sun and quite nice & warm weather.

I would still occasionally ride in the rain because sometimes is quite fun but having the choice of both pwns. Cool

What Bendy says. Thumbs Up

I happily admit to being a (mostly) fair-weather biker.

However, I like to think I make the most of that fair weather, and I don't mind foul weather if I've got something booked or whatever!

Only commute occasionally (and my commute is only 2 miles each way, so 10 miles a week hardly counts) but I average about 4000-5000 miles a year at the moment.

So you tell me which of those categories I fit into, cos I haven't got a clue! Laughing

Just to clarify.

I'm not trying to measure "How much of a biker everyone is", as in my views that's just about the saddest thing anyone can do in a group of people. I'm just curious as to how much riding everyone does.

Still haven't seen your bike Jo Smile Was around that way about 6.30 last night.

i'm a weekend warrior as my work is only 10 minutes walking distance away

I go out in the evenings in the week after work as well.

tbh i don't mind as it keeps the bike looking good and mileage down as well.

but i will be moving house soon so I will use it every day Thumbs Up
