A hile ago I asked if someone could photoshop my wheels as I fancied a change, so while my engine etc's being sorted out I thought why not do it myself, before & after......cost me £15 total, and my fingerprints/skin on fingers.

First I cleaned the wheel with motrax yoshi moto foam cleaner, get them spotless, then paintstripped the rims being careful not to go over lip onto the inner of the wheel, which is actually quite easy on the rear as the 90 degree lip separates things for you, the front was more rounded and took bastard loads of masking.

Once all paintstripped & polished I masked the rims & tyres off then did the inside of the wheel, masked off the bearings and disk rotor threads, used 3 coats of white primer, 7 or 8 layers of "flourescent red" paint, then 3 or 4 layers of clear lacquer.

Since my bikes off road at the moment I gave them a good week to dry properly and harden & I'm pretty impressed with myself Laughing

I did get quite a bit of specks on the tyres but they'll wear off once ridden.

Main thing is being patient with the paintstripping, dont rush it, I got a bit impatient with the rear and used sandpaper as the paintstripper was doing a little bit at a time, but with the fron I was patient and let it do its thing, the result is this (just a quick wipe with autosol)..................

Yea I've had it with white paint, when combined with the Suzuki orange peel paint effect, It's like cleaning white sand paper Thumbs Down

but after seeing your final result and you explaining how you did it i think i'm gonna do it myself now
