So what do you lot do to to break up the bordem on the long ride outs with a group?

Latley when riding with a group we use this rule where every one goes from front to back if that makes sence.

So the person in front lets the person behind him go in front and so on till they are at the back then obviously it resets through the ride out.

Basicly after 10 mins infront you swap let the person behind you lead. It makes for an interesting ride out if no one has a clue where you are, and also gives you something to do on the motorway.

Also throw in a few games in between that:

Tag - fun and you dont have to be a tit to play - basicly overtake the person then you have to be over taken Shocked, no chance when the busa is involved on the high way Laughing

Slapping people round the back of the lid - I am yet to get a succesfull slap in Sad well your not spose to slap just tap, but some people get carried away Laughing

Capture the hat - My fav one guy sticks a hat under his pillion strap and you have to try and steal it Mr. Green

It breaks up the bordem Laughing.

So what do you lot do on your ride outs ?

On they way down to Hastings with a mate on the back and travelling with an R6, mate said to pull close to him then he reached across and press the kill switch Laughing

Of course when he switched it back on a flame shot out his exhaust!

Great fun!

had to call an ambulance as someones 2 stroke had nipped a ring and spat them off at 80 mph.

and then flicked the v's to all the car drivers that slowed down to have a gawp at the said downed biker.

and also thanked all the car drivers that stopped to help the rider that was lying on the floor with a leg that was broken in 6 places

thats what happened on the last rideout i went on

Yes, my partner in crime for that!

When we got rick was class, even though it was you that hit the switch and me that got hit.

We tend to fight on motorway trips, rick smacks you in the head/arm as he rides passed on the blackbird very close.

Thats fun!

When I was 16 and rode with other guys on 50's great fun was had by covering people's ped exhausts with your thumb and making them splutter out at traffic lights Laughing

I would estimate that for every 1,000 miles that I ride only 25-30 of those miles would have been on a motorway or duel carriageway. I've never felt the need to play games to relieve boredom while out riding. Manhandling the bike through bend after bend after bend is enough of a buzz for me. Dead boring I know!

Last group I went out with aleviated the boredom by letting cars overtake us on dual carriageways. Not particularly fats cars or anything, just a mini and a fiesta.

After that one prick swapped from going slow in the middle of the pack to overtaking people on the inside of junctions because, as a long standing member of the group, he wanted to be at the front.

Got a bit of a frosty reception when I told them they rode too slow for me. They took it as 'Im faster than you' but what I really meant was that if I knew we were going to be doing exactly 70 on the motorway and 55 on th NSL's then I would have came in the car and saved myself some bother. The previous rideout I had to stop to get something out of my eye and about 8 of them went past giving me the thumbs up/down. When I reponded with the down they just continued. So once I got lost they told my mate that I had turned round and went to carlisle with some couple. Good job I wasnt in a ditch dead. Thankyou Cumbria MAG.

I much prefer a smaller group of like minded individuals, like tomorrow will be me, best mate and his dad. We have good routes so there literally is NO boredom, biking is supposed to be exciting!!

We used to play a game that we didn't really give a name to, but, if I had to give a name to it then I'd call it Breaking the Bank

It is quite simple really. Spot a boy racer of someone with a fast car follow casually until a junction or set of lights then intimidate by any means necessary to provoke a drag race then watch them wheelspin and lash it off the line while you pull away calmly.

There isn't really a scoring system but you do get 'brownie points' and extra credit by causing them to waste alot of petrol, eat their own tyres and you will get alot more credit if along the way you see them pulled over by the local boys in blue. Hence, breaking their bank.

You're supposed to do that when they haven't noticed the cop car right behind them. Got a mate of mine (in a TransAm) with that trick & he got a $720 "Exhibition of speed" ticket.. basically he lit em up & burned rubber right in front of an LA County Sheriff for about 200ft, while me & another guy also on another big Kaw pulled away like a pair of little old ladies. We'd smoked his ass at the previous 6 traffic lights & then seen the cop do a U turn, he missed that detail...LOL!!
When I got home a bit later my missus said "Chris called, said to tell you you're an asshole" LMFAO!!

ride an older / smaller cc/rat bike , its much more fun to hustle a well aged rat bike or a revvy small cc bike round bendy roads than it is on a super sports , since super sports are bloody well designed to be ridden quickly round corners faster than most people can go round corners ,

while hustling things like GS500s (which are cursed as well to boot!) or GT550s , or an ancient Suzi GT750 round corners wayy faster than it was designed to do is much more fun and satisfying, esp if you are riding with others on newer faster more powerful bikes ,

tends to piss them off though,

that said , its always man , not machine that is the deciding factor.

He didn't even hesitate, launched like Don Garlits on the opposing orange.. LOL!!
Ya have to watch the other lights & if no traffic is coming then as soon as that light goes orange, you launch. If your timing is on the ball you're already the other side of the intersection by the time your light goes green.
All 3 of us had done it at 4 of the previous 6 lights. When he looked in his mirror to see where we were he saw us dawdling along about 50ft behind the cop 3 lanes over.
The cop followed him for about a mile, then lit him up & pulled him over. Me & the other guy also pulled over about 1/2 mile past them because we were laughing so much we could barely ride.

In America as most of you know the traffic lights are suspended above the road which is an awful design in my oppinon Wink

But if you sit at the lights at a big junction you can see the other lanes lights.

The thing with American lights is when switching to red the go Green, Orange, Red but going to green they go Red and straight to Green.

So if you time it right like ZRX said you can fly off on green Wink
