does your bike have any wet patches on the floor were its been or have a strong smell of petrol coming from it Thumbs Up could be petrol leaking out of the pipe or a hole in the tank?

The pixies took it.

How the hell are we supposed to know when you say £5 went in a day?

Divide the amount of miles traveled by the amount of fuel you have put in the tank (gallons) which will give you a MPG figure.

i do regular journeys often and sometimes I can use nearly half a tank. Other times the fuel needle moves barely a few mm. Depends how I ride. Sometimes theres traffic so I ride slower and at more of a constant speed but when its late and the roads are empty I tend to ride a bit faster and my scoot soon starts drinking..

How long does a £5 normally last?.. Mines a £5 for a full tank and can last anywhere from 2 days to almost a week. I commute 50 miles a week at least and roughly the same again to get to mates etc. When I ride really smoothly I could make a litre of fuel last for ages Very Happy The fuel needle barely moves!

if the consumption is excessively high then obviously check, as said, for leaks.

failing that, IS the bike doing anything else - is there a choke sticking on, is/are the carburettor/s (presuming it is carb equipped) set up correctly? When was it last serviced? etc etc.

Dont ever underestimate the power of good that a proper service can do for a vehicle!

I think the problem is you're paying £5 a litre.
