I'm not entirely sure if the CB600F Hornet is the same as the CBF600 S ABS but I'm sure my advice can't help.

Living with the Hornet is fine (aside from the dodgy electrics caused by a previous owner), after all it's a Honda Wink. Maintaining seems to be the same as every other bike, my bike does about 35-40mpg at the absolute least if I thrash it mercilessly, and it does 50mpg if I go steady on it. Cleaning is the same as any other bike. I can't comment on the fairing and ABS as I don't have them.

If you love your Divvi why are wanting a new bike?

Hi

Not ridden one. Think biggerjohn has one.

Charlotte looked at one. Was tempting, being one of the bikes she can touch the ground on (seat height is adjustable). Basically seems to be a Hornet frame with a more detuned engine and decent weather protection.

All the best

Keith

However much i love it, its one of those things really, its getting old and miles are building up and im not going to turn a newer bike down. Very Happy
Anyway im gonna see how it goes coz if i can insure the new one i might try and run the both for a bit.

I've been looking into the CBF600F too, I think it would make a good commuter with a decent amount of weather protection. Performance-wise it probably wouldn't have much more to offer than my current CBF500, but then if I wanted power right now, I'd buy a sports.

Yes I have a CBF600abs and have nothing but praise for it.

For day to day living with it faultless it starts every time first time mine has now done 13k since March last year and the only thing I have needed to do other than the regular services is a new set of brake pads and tires.

As for riding the bike is an excellent commuter and comfortable for a bit of touring just this week I did France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium in 3 days clocking up 900miles.

As to the bikes performance and speed it will still easily lose you your licence without problems and ABS is a huge asset that has kept me rubber size down more than once.

If you want to be scared for you life and your licence every time you get on the bike the CBF is not for you but if you want a bike that will always start and get you for A to B in comfort with the performance and handling that will flatter the new and experienced riders then the CBF is the perfect bike.

Perfect description of the bike i need, the only thing im not to sure about is the large pointy 'bikini' fairing, my local george whites never have any in so im yet to have a nice detailed look at a faired one in person.

its not brilliant but it will store the tool kit/disk lock comfortably

i will also mention the faring does make 90mph cusing easy but it will not keep your legs dry but then i think you knew that )

Dry weight seems to be bang on the same as my divvy but from pictures(still havent been able to sit/look at one in person because georgewhite never has em in)
it looks bulkier and higher,so if anyone can compare the two in the sense of handling size and general riding, i like the low profile of the divvys half fairing, as i say havent seen it standing on level ground in person, does the fairing sit high?
the riding position is similar from the looks but i find it more comfortable leaning forward a bit, are the handlebars easily adjustable to do this?
My father has made an offer of 2400 on an 05' with a tad under 4000 miles so needs a service under warranty, has alarm immobiliser, rear hugger, scottoiler, laser duo exhaust, datatool and hpi clear also, silver and from the pics looks tidy, is it worth a look at least?
