It's gonna need the fork stanchions either rechromed or replaced as they're pitted, I don't know if they'd leak oil but would assume so, this is because the seals are perished too so it needs new ones, not expensive but no point doing without the stanchions as pitted stanchions can chew on the fork seals.
It may possibly need new tyres, they were deflated and the rear had no valve, fronts inflated and seems ok now but the rear Im gonna get a valve in and make sure it holds air, tread on both looks ok though.
Otherwise it's just cosmetic stuff, few bolts missing or quite rusty, panels aren't that great (side panels are same paintjob but slightly darker) and cracks and scuffs here and there. I'm doing stuff to it as and when I get the time, gone over all the electrics and just stripped and cleaned the carbs, and cleaning the bike bit by bit so it looks a bit better.
Oh there's no fluid in the front brakes at the moment either will bleed them this week, but don't know if there is a leak somewhere, again though, if there is, it's only a single caliper so isn't gonna be expensive to replace using VFR/CBR systems (all the same). One more thing is the battery is so old I doubt it's gonna be any good really, again though it's a tiny one so you're looking at £15. |
