Yeah. I'm already moving to a new country for love. Of course, in a year's time, he'll reciprocate that.

If you're involved in a long distance relationship, one person is just going to have to move, or the relationship is going to go nowhere.

And yeah, that'll mean leaving a job, family, friends, the life you've always known for some big unknown.

But anyone in that situation has to ask themselves - which would be easier to live without: The job/family/house/friends/lifestyle or this person they're in love with?

You can go where you like, you just have to be inventive, its not true about aus and nz putting barriers up to stop brits, infact only 6 months ago aus was advertising for brits who had qualifications in a variety of trades including plumbers and mechanics - instant visa and if you want it residency/citizenship. They APPEAR to make it harder because the exsitng population objects to the high number of immigrants with certain ethnic backgrounds and the governments cant be seen to discriminate. I was in aus in 2000 and I met brits who'd been there working on the olympic village who were being offered quicky naturalisation if they wanted it - dont believe 'official govt websites' just get your arse over there and find the real situation. Similarly for USA if you look at the working lunch website on BBC 2 you'll see a whole set of reports of brits who moved there using a variety of methods - one bloke did a horse care course and went to usa on an equestrian visa and now works as a builder.

Back on topic ... i'm considering moving 4820 miles for love Very Happy

Personally i dont think moving countries is so much of a big deal, you just need to be 100% sure its the right thing for you. I moved to spain for 4 months supported by a UK company who employed me, found my accomm, etc. That was easy enough- lugguage was the main issue.

I think its right personally, love is what you feel for children, i know how i feel for my nephew and hes the closest i have to kids. I would give the world for him.

In my opinion- lifes too short, live for today. I'd hate to be someone who moans about their day to day existence without actively trying to change it. I like to consider every oppurtunity open to me..... need to buy a new rucksack....i can feel the hippy back packing vibes coming in!
