That'll be a no then, i thought it was a little short notice to post, but i also thought there could be a slim chance that someone on here may have already booked it and not mentioned it.

Well i'm officially addicted to riding on the track, what an amazing experience!

I managed to lap in the 1m48s towards the end of the day and was told that i was pretty much the quickest rider in the intermediate group and should go in the advance group next time.

I had the honour of following some Auto66 racers which helped no end in figuring out the lines of the place.

I can feel a track back project coming this winter Mr. Green

Not bad times.

Was that on the zx10 or the zx7 you used before?

As I've mentioned elsewhere, having a massively powerful bike doesn't always help - as it often means you aren't quite so confident getting on the power early.

Those times you definitely won't be the fastest in the fast group, but should be fine along the lower end (though don't expect to get in there in the pace day early next month with superstock riders etc!)

I'm in complete agreement there! i definitely wasn't confident enough to nail every exit as i was riding my road bike so i had to take it easy to a certain extent.

For instance i was taking coppice with just a roll off the throttle in 4th but not changing down for charlies and just winding the throttle on for Park straight. I should really have been in third, but after trying it once i realised i was risking a highside, besides the power of the 10 was still allowing me to pass people three quarters of the way down the staright.

I was only changing down to 3rd for park coner and holding 3rd all the way round chris curve and through the gooseneck, again second would be better, but again didn't want to risk a high side.

I then held 2nd all the way from mansfield, through the mickey mouse chicane, over the mountain, through halls, round the hairpin and through barn onto the front straight. 1st would have been better through the naff chicane and the hairpin but didn't want to risk it.

So i know that if i could get my hands on a track bike for next year i could improve on my times, just not sure by how much.

We timed some people in the fasst group and there was some very fast guys in there, one person was doing 1m39's, but there were also people lapping consistently over 2 minutes! Confused
