Well as the title suggest's I've finally got my knee down Very Happy ...which considering I'd pilled into a 90degree left at about 50 was not to surprising.

As I'd never done this before I was quite schoked as I went over, next hearing the loud scratching/tearing of plastic....thinking oh fuck I've over done it and hear comes the hedge Shocked . Almost shat myself as it was not expected, which made me promptly stand the bike up and loose my line and go into the other lane Shocked thankfully no oncoming traffic. Took me a moment or two to realise that it had been my slider making the noise, so couple of miles later at the next good 90 left I though feck it I'll try this time, which worked and as I was expecting the noise etc I held my line perfectly.

However I was wondering how everyone else reacted that first time Question did you to almost shit yourself or was I just being a big wuss.

Yep, it made me jump Very Happy

As soon as i completed the corner i was punching the air like i'd one a race! It was knee down time at every other corner after that for a few days!

Took me a lot longer to get my right knee down though

Its definitely up there amongst the greatest biking moments of my life.

The thing that made it most special to me was a) i wasn't trying to do it and b) it didn't happen on a roundabout. Therefore it was a proper knee down and not a poser knee down

It seems to be the other way round to me. Quite a lot of people go roundabout surfing with the intention of getting there knee down.

Saw a bloke doing laps of the M65 J3 roundabout the other week on either a brand new Honda 600 or 1000rr and he was hanging off like some deranged monkey and his knee was nowhere near. Laughing Why is it I'm always in the car when I see these clowns, he looked a right muppet.

I thought

"Woah, ace!"

Followed by

"I should go home and get my leathers really, cos my jeans are now f*cked"

Still got the pair of jeans with a white holey bit just below the knee, the ripped effect Laughing It's easier in jeans than leathers though, mine restricted leg movement quite a bit, still managed it though... eventually Rolling Eyes

Nah, never got my left knee down on a real road corner, only the odd roundabout and tracks.

I also got my first knee down (right) on the road, on a corner that got tighter and tighter until I almost ran out of ground clearance.
