 |
|
So, I've got my theory booked in for tomorrow afternoon and have been practising at the ol' hazard perception on CD-rom. I've done each of the mock tests several times, but each time I only seem to scrape a pass grade with a high 40 mark to mid-50 . (I've got a 62 & a 68 too, but that's not the point).
My trouble seems to be that I tend to click too early - especially with some serisouly asinine clips that I've encountered.
e.g. going about 10mph on a small inner-city road, and there's a woman with a pushchair waiting near the end. Sure, that sounds simple enough, but the scoring for this particular clip doesn't actually start until she's in the centre of the bloody road!. Of course, I've already clicked just as she steps out onto the road which according to this ****ing program; is too early.
Basically, I'm asking if anybody has any tips for me before I go into the test tomorrow? |

Just got mine booked last night for the 6th of July and I'm the same! Always clicking too early for the scoring . The best advice I've heard so far is to click several times for each hazard with a few seconds between (eg. once when you see it, once again as it progresses and once again as you would be braking/stopping to avoid it). Need to have another go on the CD-rom before the actual test though so I make sure I get it right! ____________________ :: Honda XR 125 L ('53) => Kawasaki GPZ 500S ('02) => Suzuki SV650S ('00) => Aprilia RSV-R ('51) :: |

There is nothing wrong with clicking early as long as you dont click fast after....just leave it a second.
Anyways....Stop fookin reading the forum and get back to practise
Good luck bro ____________________ You watching this rubbish?

Yeah do what he said. Click a couple of times . I never practiced the hazard perception at all and got a good score by using that tactic ____________________ Bikes had : BMW F650, suzuki tr50, gt125, SV400, GSXR600 SRAD. i found the whole theory test alot easier than it is on the cd's. i was getting 31/35 and 44/75 . i only did 3/4 mock tests with a cd then sat my theory. i got 35/35 and 62/75. i found the real one loads easier. on the hazard perception do what other people are saying and click once then again a couple of seconds later. click at everything you think is a hazard. when you get in there just watch the whole tutorial they give you it expains it and gives better info than i can

Cheers guys. I had a go just a little while ago using that method and got my highest score so far: a 69/75 which will get me through.
It made me feel a bit easier as I got my dad to have a go too. He did a random test twice, and got 42/75 both times which as you know is a fail. Just shows that us young 'uns have it a bit harder.
From the questions that I've done on the disc for the multiple choice; the majority of them seem like they just take common sense, with the odd one that may require thinking in there, somewhere.
Oh well, it's tomorrow afternoon so I'll be cramming a little bit more revision in during the morning.
Wish me luck. |

Well, it's all done and dusted now. Not my best performance at the HP, but it got me through.
I got 34/35 for the multiple choice and only scraped through the HP with a 50/74, but it doesn't matter that much to me 'cos it's satisfactory.
Didn't get off to the best of starts with the HP as on the second clip they gave me a 0 because I clicked too many times which kinda made me a tad dispondent throughout the remaining clips but nevermind. What's done is done.
I've got my training for my A2 all booked in:
Tomorrow afternoon
Thursday morning &
Monday morning.
Looking forward to it and hopefully, if all goes smoothly; I'll get my test booked in within a week or two. |
