Caberg V2 helmet

Can anyone tell me why these helmets https://www.cabergv2.co.uk/ are such good price?
Are they not of the same standard as the more expensive ones?
Does anyone out there have one?
I particularly like the double visor thingy, so I do not have to damage my shades.

I have the Caberg Justissimo, which is what they say the V2 ressembles.

The double visor thing is fab, and the helmet (the predecessor of my current one) stood up very well to my accident last year.

I bought one not too long ago. Tbh i wish i'd paid a bit more and got a cheap Arai or Shoei.

The only redeaming features are the built in dark visor and the rubber bit that directs your breath downwards and stops the visor from fogging. The wind noise is very bad, even on a calm day. On a windy day i wear my old helmet.

Everytime I read about the sunvisor device in Cabergs I wonder how much of the protective impact lining they have to remove to fit the mechanism.

Ive heard alot that it lets the wind into your eyes, i too considered buying one, but ive heard nothing but bad things about them

I was going to go and purchase a V2 this weekend, but I'm in two minds now, as some of the reviews have been good and some bad.

I guess I'm going to go and try and few on, but I had my mind set on the V2, in Matt Black, just because of the double visor thing.

It will feel quite good when you try it on in the shop but the acid test is on the road. I'd heard reports of lots of wind noise but thought people were exagerating.

It's only £100 so you can't expect everything. I doubt any lid at that price is without it's faults. But if you can afford more, try a few more expensive ones.

I used to have a V2, it was:

Superb value for money
Internal visor is extremely helpful and easy to use

Heavy
Huge
Lots of wind noise
Eyes always watered after a ride
Chin strap is uncomfortable
Paint and vents chip and break easily
Padding around ears was always tight and folded my ear the wrong way

I like the look of some of the other Caberg lids, but I would'nt get a V2 again, the isor is the only good selling point

I bought another helmet today (Tackechi T36) and whilst I was test fitting some other brands on, its remarkable ow different the makes are Shoei are soooo light and small looking

I got this bash hat, the double visor is cool to show off to your friends, but I never really used it, the dark visor flip down thing isnt that good with sun... And looks like your a blind man on a motorcycle

I dont use this hat anymore as my other hat had alot more padding, better straps, and looks better. Its a Arai GP5k ( i think ) and it costed me £600 brand new ( this is about 2 years old ) and an extra £160 for a helmet painting on it

I always think the more money you spend, the more safer the helmet, alot of people think otherwise, but I strongly beleave in this.

OBSE were foing double visor helmets , £30 to boot shame I was in the wrong side of the country in the only place selling them.


But many shops (ie ones you can walk into) are doing caberg V2s for £90 , J&S were doing them for £89.99 during new years.

that said the Trip looks ok , but I'd rather spend more to buy the Jussimo which instructors and cops all have.

I've had my Justissimo for nearly three years now and the inner visor is great. When it is really hot in town I ride with the front flipped up and the dark visor down. When people go on about the wind noise they are not exaggerating, it is unbearable above 40.

I have the Caberg V2, and have used a Justissimo as a pillion... it is my first helmet however so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

For me (Size Small ) it is quite comfy... sometimes I will catch my ears and they fold dodgy, but once you get the knack of putting it on at the right angle the problem doesn't really exist.

The visor is VERY helpful. Best of both worlds really; Clear visor for the night so great visibility, and a nice dark tint for the day to get rid of the sun. I doub't i'd ever get a lid without one now.

It is quite heavy, but not too bad, but like I say, I have nothing to compare it to.

I'll be getting one. I wear earplugs on most journeys and it can't be any louder than the Uncle Wu's Helmet, Abbatoir and Bicycle Emporium special I'm wearing at the moment. The convenience of the internal visor meaning not having to carry two pairs of glasses will more than make up for it, IMHO.

me and my brother have got the v2 and the are great for the price 99 quid so much better build than those crappy chav nitro helmets and a lot of helmets in the same price range

I had the Caberg Justissimo..Still in the closet somewhere.
Love the dark visor. Very easy to operate. Dark enough for those sunny days. Convienient to just flip the visor up if the sun goes down.

I found that the noise is VERY bad. Again, anything 40 or above, it's almost unbearable. Earplugs are a solution, but I really don't fancy putting in earplugs for 10 minute journeys, all the time..

Loved the convienience of also having the flip front.

Really, bought as a spur of the moment thing about 6 months back, but I don't think I would buy any of their helmets again....Too noisy, and didn''t really like the finish, quality or feel of the helmet. I also found that the visor misted up badly, and had to fit an additional pinlock antifog visor.

I have since bought myself the Schuberth C2 Flip Front, which is really comfortable, extremely quiet, and also has the flip up/down internal dark visor.
