I just tie it back, and only have it shoulder length so it's not really long enough to get knotty. If it does I just run my fingers through it or use a brush if I have to.

And to stop all the hair falling out I roll the helmet on and off my head, rather that just pull it up/down. When putting on it's like the bottom front of the helmet is hinged infront of your chin, and to pull off it's hinged at the back of your neck.

I used to have hair down to half way down my back, had to cut it in the end because it was just plain getting in the way. But I used to get a bigger helmet and put a beanie hat on or use a bandana.

I'm with the "leave it messy" crew.

The sheeps-arse effect is natural with my hair anyway, so a bit of entanglement in the wind is nothing worse than I'm used to Rolling Eyes

I just take my helmet off, lean over and tip my hair over my head, fluff it back up and hey presto! No helmet hair flatness.

Good products for detangling are:

(1) Fructis anti-frizz serum (small round green bottle with a squirty top); or
(2) Hair polish (dunno who makes it, but its wot black people use to detangle their hair, and it works a treat on mine: just don't put too much on else you end up with that "wet look" which is most unpleasant when leaning one's head on a window)

If you can't be bothered to plait, or can't do it (points and laughs at Icey! Razz ), a series of bands all the way down a ponytail works just as well. Pull hair into nape of neck and apply first elastic band. Apply next one a couple of inches down, then another a bit further down etc etc until you get to the end.

Thumbs Up

That's my way.
If you're a cheapskate you can cut up old pairs of tights and use them as good extra long hair bands Very Happy

I also usually wear a buff (a baby buff with penguins and teddy bears on it Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy) which keeps it tucked down the back of my jacket.

The only issue I have with helmet hair is that my usually toilet-brush like curls are restrained and flattened.

My hair comes down to the bottom of my back and I find the easiest thing to do is put my jacket on over it. My neckwarmer keeps it in place fairly well Thumbs Up

I used to tie it back and chuck it in a necktube.

Then I had it all cut off!

I always just tie it bcak with a hairband at the top, then another halfway down. I then tuck the 'pony tail' down the back of my jacket.

I do have a hair glove, but my hair is too long for it and sticks out the bottom by 6/7 inches.

Oh dear. Im a girl with longish hair. I just tie it back and plat it sometimes to keep it from going into stupid knots from the wind. Just brush all your hair out of the way before You put your helmet on and then put it on from front to back so you scoop all your hair into it. Life is much trickier being female believe me!

Time to teach ChrisW how to plait hair then

I just found my latest GF whop I am very much smitten with, and every time I went to see her my hair was a helmetted mess! So the other day I thought "Yeah, do it" And had it all shaved off as I have wanted to see what it would be like for a while! And I like it now! Looks good less hassle, bargain price for each single grade haircut too!

Get it shaved. Or if ya a woman, get in the kitchen!

Razz Razz

(Apologies, couldnt resist!)

No more hair problems for me, I've had it all shaved off.

My hair which has been long enought to tuck into my belt when I sat down is gone.

I got fed up with looking after it, and the heat was getting to me.

I went into a barbers and asked for a number 3 crew cut. (I'd have got shorter, but worried about sun burn)
