If it's anything like it is here in the rest of the UK the fucking noisy arse winds will make a perfect cover for robbing scum tonight.

Keep it safe.

I was thinking about this earlier.

Anyone who's concerned about their bike being seen and nicked, go and stand across the road from your house. What bits of the drive are visible? I happened to park the bike on the very right of our drive yesterday, and as it happens it's virtually impossible to see any of it from outside the gate, it's hidden almost completely by a variety of plant life. So I'll be leaving it there from now on! Smile

If you hide it from people eventually you'll end up giving good cover to the people nicking it though...

When my bike's parked on-street in high wind I have to turn the alarm off to save false alarms waking everyone up. I suspect thieves realise this happens Neutral

Maybe so, but at least you have a chance of stopping them if you hear your alarm go off in earshot.

Be careful when you open the door when your alarm goes off, you might scare the poor little chaps and you'll have to pay them compensation for raising their heartrate.

Fucking country.

I bought a brake disc lock that Fits into the small holes of the brake disk. Has a 98db siren on it. I dont totally rely on it but it would be a nuisance for them to drag my bike away screaming over and over.

I just bought a bike that the pro thieves wont be interested in and have enough security to stop the local scruffs. Laughing

I park the bike at night at the bottom of a drive with a reasonable incline, on its side stand, next to a hedge on one side and a car parked next to it the other side, covered up and almost invisible from the road. It would be impossible to lift without setting off the alarm and alerting all the armed police that patrol my vicinity, who guard the various embassy staff that live around me!

Mine's in the garage, with a garage defender and car parked up against the door. Plus it's only a '98 Blade so the pros wouldn't want it Rolling Eyes

Cheers

Well, mines datatagged in a brick built garage next to the house.
