Finally got some pics of the bike in its current state. Haven't seen it yet but looks as if the engine might be screwed as well. The last pic is the lamp post loosing the top from the impact.

There was another pick of my mate standing everest style on it but he deleted it in the name of good taste since I'd just gone in to hospital at the time. Laughing

That wiring is atrocious. Don't you know how to use a soldering Iron, heat shrink and relays?

To be totally honest I'm not sure what happened. I was going round the corner a bit faster that far too fast. Next thing I know I whack the floor with my head a few times and then on my back next to the wall thinking I better not move in case I broke my back. I feel like a complete tit cos I could have avoided it by going slower I'm sure. Judging by where I was and where the bike went I may have high sided which might make sense since I did panic and take the throttle off when I stupidly looked at the speedo mid corner.

I was unbelievably lucky, like really unbelievably lucky since I wasn't wearing any leathers. I only have a broken wrist and ankle and they're both well on the way to fixing. Doesn't mean I haven't learnt my lesson though, I have.

Behind the lampost there's a big crack from the impact but only a medium sized dent on the front. Shows how hard they are.
If you look in the first picture you can see the oil filter has come out of its housing which is odd considering it's not a screw in type.

And yes I was extensively bruised.

Laughing Always enjoy your input. Yep I have and I can but the way I do it has never let me down.

I'm thinking something 2strokeish and/or retro. Still open about it. Was thinking maybe a track bike and a road bike but my mind changes all the time.

Really like this look though.https://www.ozebook.com/compendium/lough/scan8s.jpg

Y'see I reckon you went around the corner, the bike saw the lamp-post and leapt at it in a suicidal fashion in an attempt to stop any further hack'n'slash misery that had been it's life with you up until that point.

I think we should all feel sorry for the bike. Shocked

We had an understanding. It was a rat when I got it and I just went further down the road with it.

But you never told it you loved it did you.

And you probably told it how your BROS ended up in an attempt to keep it in line.

All i can think is that you must have been doing some crazy 'evel knieval' style daredevil jumps and just clipped the top of the lampost by mistake, thus causing the damage to your bike.
I think there were less lamposts at snake river canyon.

i tend to the think that the base got such a whack, that the top shook its light off

the thought of a bike clipping the kerb and leaping as high as the light of the lamp post is a bit scary
