Stupid Lack of Attention Mistake

On a 3 lane 40mph limit road...

I was in the middle lane in the front at some lights, and obviously in the crossroads the line painting stops, but the road after curves to the left/is offset quite sharply.

I carry on as normal (about 20 minutes after having dental anaesthetic and 2 fillings) and wonder why i've suddenly got an audi up my arse out of nowhere...

I didn't move to the left and ended up in the right hand side lane.

That could've been really really nasty.

Need to go get myself some red bull now.

Wonder if you got pulled over and had a breath test, funny if it showed up somehow.
I got the dentist soon, so me thinks I will be getting a lift instead of riding

In all truthfullness I'm just a bit stupid sometimes, I don't think I could really attribute it to the anaesthetic.

Then again, in a perfect world the audi should have seen your L plates and given you room and benefit of the doubt that you might do something erratic.

Almost got hit coming into work as well.

2 lanes, 30mph limit, one lane veers off to left and splits into 3 lanes, the left hand one going up a DC, the 2 right ones entering a roundabout.

I was in the left of the 2 lanes (on the branch that splits off to the roundabout) and I went to undertake a guy in teh right hand lane (going off into liverpool) because it was slow moving traffic (10mph)

Just as a draw level with him (I was doing about 15mph) he flicks the fucking indicator on and heads towards me.

Prick.

Yeah riding after a dental anaesthetic is bad news. It's why you can't operate heavy machinery etc when you're on flu meds.

a properly administered dental local anaesthetic will have ABSOLUTELY NO systemic effects. It won't make you drowsy, the anxiety of having a dental appointment might preoccupy your mind and affect your concentration but thats no different to having any other form of stress. The most you would have is a numb lip!

When you were undertaking the Audi it was a slightly iffy maneouver. Not in the sense that you were in the wrong, as you weren't, just in the sense that it increases the risk of you getting hit. The driver should have looked, but then again you positioned yourself in a dodgy location.

my stupid mistake today.

i was sat at some traffic lights near oulton park.

the car to the left of me set off so i gave it some revs but dumped the clutch too quickly.

the bike starts kangarooing so in my panic pull the clutch back in but gave it more revs.

my brain is trying to say to me we will get flipped off here make it stop.

so i calmly dropped the revs off and then pulled slowly away with my left hand up in the air thanking all the car drivers for waiting for me to either pull a massive wheelie like ghostrider on the a49 or get slung down the road.


stressfull day at my main job and then going to my other job and not concentrating enough

I once got a splinter in my eye and couldnt see jack!

I had to howver ride to the hospital to get it removed. How much fun that was!

Then the silly nurse gave me an eye test and told me I may need glasses!! WTF!!

The reason I couldnt see, is the last 3 hrs I have had a splinter in my eye causing me grief! And you give me an eye test 30 secs after getting it out!
