...for a 53 plate ZX-6R?
The reason I ask is, that Danny binned his bike at Cadwell this morning and will need a new one!
I went over to see how him, Bendy, Jay and Marjay were getting on, and Marjay and Jay both said they saw someone go off at the gooseneck but didn't know who. Then the recovery van rolled up and it was Danny.
He was more gutted that he was going to miss the rest of the day than the damage to the bike (he's done the gear selector, scratched fairings, front and rear) Crash bung bent well over, which is kind of why the peg bracket went.
But he's fine.
As I left Bendy had moved back down into Novices because in her own words "She was riding like shite" But she was having her suspension sorted too, which wasn't helping.
And Jay had been moved back down into Novices because the instructor this morning thought his lines weren't quite right and he wasn't quite quick enough. (No sniggering Shaun now Shaun. )
And Marjay was whupping everyone on the two stroke, apparantly. ____________________ Colin McRae MBE 1968 - 2007 RIP

Sneaking a practise day in eh guys.
See you all on the 6th where I shall take great joy in, as bendy would say, handing you your asses.
Shame about Danny though, at least he isn't broken though. |

Well, since we did post an open invite ages ago it's not really 'sneaking' and since I'm not doing the pace day, it's not really 'practice' either.
Spent most of the day working with Suspension Guy to make my bike actually go round corners again, something it had stopped doing since I replaced the forks. Cost me £40 but he knows his stuff and it feels like a new bike now so happy with that.
Only exciting moment of the day was coming over the mountain into a huge cloud of feathers where the guy in front of me had totalled a low-flying magpie. Other than that, my riding was still shite - need to get my head sorted cos I'm suffering a distinct lack of confidence at the moment (on the road moreso). So I've ordered myself some new tyres and I'm going to spend July doing some road mileage on my now working suspension and see what happens.
Oh, and it was cold and windy and made me sneeze a lot. And the grossly overpriced sausage roll and chips from the cafe were the worst I have ever tasted. The north sucks. |

It wasn't a red Yamaha with a no fear sticker on the back was it J?
He overtook me just before hall bends, and then braked ridiculously early for the corner, meaning that my whole flow was ruined. I almost ran into the back of him.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |
