Anyone here had experience of owning a Falco.
I have seen a low mileage year 2000 one for sale for £3000
Any thoughts appreciated.

My boss at work owns one. Top end about 160 all stock, accelerates well, looks the bollocks.

Very underrated bike. Riding position feels a bit odd at first (bars mostly) but you quickly settle in to it. Wonderful engine, especially once derestricted (remove baffle from airbox, cut wire from ECU). Brakes - brembo all round, outstanding. Handling - even more capable than the RSV-R, rear shock a bit weak but better shock from RSV-R slots straight in, big improvement.
All round, an outstanding package which draws attention cos they're well liked but not that common.
Only common issue is a weak sidestand design, I believe you can get aftermarket bits to improve it though.

I am thinking about getting one also. RSVR performance for CBR money and insurance. The only drawback is its not that pretty.

Nearly bought one last year off ebay. But had to settle for the VTR instead, as they were a good bit cheaper. But still, the falco's do seem very under-rated and this is reflected in their second hand prices.

That's fine Italian engineering in there, same engine as the Mille.
