It's not just post ratings that define your blobs!

"no1" is not a word. "i" should be capitalised. "thats" should be "that's". No full stop.

All the best

Hi

The karma system automatically spots stuff like that, and that is what kills your karma. Basically there to stop people coming out with "txt speak" as an attempt to keep the forum readable. Takes you a few seconds longer to type correctly, but takes everyone longer to read if you use random abreviations.

All the best

Keith

It's just a little pedantic if you ask me, but I suppose rules are rules... just seems a little silly. Karma should be a measure of how much you contribute to the forums, the system you describe is basically saying that an eventuality can occur that someone could be the most helpful and friendly person on the forums, but it wont be shown because they speak in text type speak. Does it go down from the text speak as much as it goes up from a good rating?

Hi

Think the spelling / text speak affects are fairly minor compared to actual ratings given to you.

All the best

Hey, my spelling is awful. It should think itself lucky that the word was correctly spelt, even if it was the wrong word.

Confusing - https://www.grammartips.homestead.com/affect.html .

All the best
