 |
|
I've just bought myself a new jacket, got home and discovered the zip to connect them to my trousers doesn't match - not only is it a completely different size, it does up the other way too!!
Is it possible to swap the zips?
Could i get a local tailor/drycleaner/saddler do it?
Would it be better to swap the zip on the jacket, or the jeans to match, or doesn't it matter?
Thanks. ____________________ Space Monkey #7

Sorry, maybe i didn't phrase it correctly.
It's only the jacket that's new, the leather trousers i already had.
The jacket is made by a diffferent company from the leather trousers, so i guess technically it's not a 2 piece suit. ____________________ Space Monkey #7

A problem I had with 2-piece leathers is that you need to be the same size top and bottom.
When I got my HG leathers there was about 2 inches of spare zip on the jacket. I think it's ok except the tarty line doesn't match all the way up now. ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead

the fact it is different size and make gives a problem. How about getting a zip that matches and taking it to some one who can sew and getting them to sew it on. ____________________ Zhongyu ZY50, Aprilia SR50, Motorhispania RX50, Aprilia RS125, Honda VFR400 nc24 and my corsa

If you think about it the circumference of the jacket zipped up and trousers have to be the same so a new zip won't do it. ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead
