I wasn't quite sure where to put this.

As I was coming home from work today there was a man who'd just finished setting up a new rear-facing speed camera on the grass verge where the M18 joins the M1 Northbound (about 2 miles from J33) right on the top of the hill as it turns round to the left. It's actually obscured until you're right next to it because it's on a left-hander and it's really easy to go past that point at over 70. It just looks like one of your standard Gatso/Truvelo jobbies (it had a black bag over the top, but I can't see it being anything else, the shape was the same and so was the stand). Be careful, I'm sure it'll turn into a real money maker. Thumbs Up

They need to sort out the entry-slip road from the M18 to M1 as it's way too short (which probably caused the accidents which gave them a reason to put the camera up) instead of putting scameras up for our "safety".

Hi

Probably due to be some roadworks around there. Seems they are planning to widen the M1 from 31 to 32.. Might be that.

All the best

Keith

speed cameras are super short termism I reckon , in that it will probably just prevent people getting to work if too many are banned = lower income tax = bad for tresury in LT.

That said when was the last government to care for more than 3 years anyway.

I'll have a look when I go to play football on monday.

When they finished all the roadworks on the M18 coming into Doncaster the 'Safety' camera partnership 'forgot' to take down the cameras (which were set at 50). Rolling Eyes
Needless to say the 100's of tickets issues where revoked.

This is one to watch out for anyway...thanks Mark Thumbs Up
