At 3:20am 24th June my mum died in mine and my dads arms of cancer Crying or Very sad

My parents were happily married for 35 years, my pain is nothing in comparison to the pain in my dads eyes the moment his deepest love died in his arms

I hope no-one on here has to witness that ever, that moment will haunt me for the rest of my life Crying or Very sad

Not very nice for, my thoughts are with you.

In the future, hopefully you may take some comfort from the fact that she died surrounded people she loved, who loved her.

Sorry to hear about your loss...

They say that you're not a grown up until you lose a parent, Be there for each other and remember to tell one another that you love them regularly.

I am sorry to hear of your loss Dark.

Losing a parent is not something I have not experienced yet, but my mother recently turned 70 and obviously it is something that prays on my mind since my mum is my only parent.

Be there for your dad and he will be there for you, dont be scared to talk about it with each other, it will help, however painful and try in time to think of the good times and know that your mother is out of her pain and somewhere peaceful now.

If you find it hard to let go of your feelings and get them out, I song that helped me when I had a great loss some years ago was by Sarah Macloughlin, Angel.......pm me if you want me to send it to you.

It hurt like nothing at the time but over time it did help me and I began to hear it in a more positive peaceful way.

Take care of you and your dad and know that your mum had the two people she loved most there at the time when she needed you. This really does matter, so many people are alone these days and you can take comfort that you did not arrive too late. Harrowing though it is, in time you will be glad you were there.

[hugs}

Hi there Dark,

Firstly may I pass on my condolances to you and your family. I know how you feel because I lost my Dad in 2003 to cancer. He died peacefully in his sleep in a hospice. My family were by his bedside also.
3 years on the image has subsided and I remember him how he was in his prime.
Time does heel, things will be bad for a while, its only natural. Just take each day at a time. Your mum will always be there.

Take care,

Sean
