My Ducati Day experience.

I'm a young lad, only ever ridden 50's and 125's. After posting one of my videos on here, some bright spark knew the location of the lanes i was filming in. So one thing lead to another, and he came down on his 04' Ducati 749s.

After i'd got over the noise and depth of those 374.5CC cylinders firing though the Termignoni carbon fibre exhaust, we started to do some filming in the lanes, we soon found out the lanes weren't long enough for the 749s, as what was a fly through 1st 2nd and 3rd on a 125, was a quick blip on the throttle in 1st for the Ducati.

We moved out onto an open road where the full potential of the bike could be opened up.

With ear cracking noise, and effortless amounts of endless power the Ducati ripped down the straight a few times at speeds of excess 130mph.

Overall the few hours i spent riding with Wave2k were great He may have had exactly 700 more CC's then i have, but it was a good day and we had good fun. And it was a real eye opener as i've never ridden with a bike bigger then a 125, to over take a car for me on my 50cc is drop down 3 gears and then go though them again, all i heard behind me was a slight burble as he coasted past.

I'd like to thank Wave2k for coming down and joining in, at the end of the day us bikers need to stick together.
And i'd like to thank BCF for making it all possible.

Make sure your sound is nice and loud for the video, as bikes don't sound much sweeter then his.

Hope you enjoy it.

Love the way the speedo swings from 4 o'clock to 2 then back when the ignition is switched on Mr. Green love the dash and yoke too on those new ones, but have never ever liked the V twin sound Wink

i do prefur an inline4 to a V2... but there is nothing like the thud that bike made and the depth it had.. it was like a 5000watt subwoofer thumping.

V twins sound like a bowl of lumpy gravy performing a charity concert in an ampitheatre Cool

Each to their own. Personally I fing a howling 600 IL4 quite offensive, the rumble of a twin sounds lovely, add a rattly clutch and I'm in biking heaven.

i rode a new shape RSVR with povics, they are a different sound to a duke, although still v-twin, dukes have a very unique sound.

Just than, a screaming IL4 really penetrates the conciousness, when I'm sat at home and I hear someone ragging it down the local bypass the sound is offensive - not over loud, it just sounds irritating. What it sounds like to those who don't like bikes I don't know, but I'll bet it fuels their intollerence of two wheels more than almost anything else.
A V twin doesn't penetrate the conciousness in anything like the same way.
