Right.

L'oreal are trying to persude men we need to slap animal tested shite on our faces to stop signs of ageing.

A female voice over says: ( something close to )

" What you think are distinguished lines, she thinks is premature ageing".

It's bad enough they suck they girls into a horrible world of inferiority. As a bloke I don't think I have been targeted in this way before... Middle Finger L'oreal, I hope to fuck the poncy 'lads' mags don't start pushing this crap. If you do buy into this lark, really, have a think about it, or please do try and make me see differently about mens grooming.

Just because they are insecure, doesn't mean we will buy into their "science" of amino acids.

Of which we can get all 8 amino acids from meat. Get in. Bellies all round?

It was inevitable really, wasn't it. 'They' have fucked up women's heads plenty already, fucked up men's heads to think that women are supposed to look like plastic and be unable to make any facial expressions cos they've paralysed all their muscles with food poisoning bacteria, now they're going for the final push and trying to make men feel bad about themselves as well.

Sickens me, actually.

Fact is it won't work.

Their target market is presumably the gay scene and the metrosexual movement, of which makes up a very small minority of the male population.

Anyway Pot Noodle is the Fuel of Britain, isn't it?

The fact you talk about 'mens grooming' suggests you're one of them already Razz.

I'd just say 'having a wash' - when I can be bothered to do that, anyway Smile.

Altho that said, i WISH someone would bring out a balm that actually stops shavign rash, and doesnt just exacerbate the spots Evil or Very Mad

EVERY time i shave, next day red and blotchy. If i put on any balm it just goes spotty.

Why i shave so rarely.

I look crap with a beard, and look crap with blotchy skin.

I am aware of Mens Grooming.

In my opinion it means giving the back of your ballbag a good scrub once in a while.

Thumbs Up

Ricardo

Invest in a decent razor, and don't skimp, new blades very often. Wet shaves only.

Mach 3 turbo, shave rarely so new blades often, wet shave, straight after a shower so hair /should/ play fair, plenty of foam/gel

Still... next day Evil or Very Mad

Use the Gillete "sensitive" gel and don't under any circumstances use aftershave or the like. I used to have a similar problem, turned out to be a skin reaction from alchohols in the unguents. Even now I get a face like ground zero for a hot pizza if I try using normal shaving foam or aftershave.

Or try Nivia (spelling) it’s a blue one and in gel form, that is for sensitive skin I think, its very neutral I’ve never had a problem with it.

Guy’s ever found that using Lynx spray actually makes you sweat more?
I don’t use it under arm anymore, I don’t sweat at all, very suspicious of that stuff.

They are over 25 amino acids which of only 8 we can not 'make' our self. The 8 are essential.

Aswell as meat, you get them mainly from cornflakes and BEANS!

Fart away lads.....fart away!

I have seen that 'skin expert' range taking up a whole bay in boots. The prices are ridiculous.

All these moisterisers and balms are made of the same stuff and do the same thing.

I use nivea moisteriser aftershave balm which stops my skin drying out and getting flaky but that's as far as I go. There's no need for anti wrinkle/anti grease nonsense. They're trying to create a category to flog endless combos of shite with pseudo scientific names but men won't buy it, I hope.

I used to have terrible trouble with my face being on fire after shaving, but got given a Hackett London gift set for Christmas, which included aftershave balm. Bloody brilliant stuff, I swear by it now. It actually cools my face down after a shave, and makes it feel like a babies arse too. Mr. Green

A combination of the media and the cosmetic manufacturers, in this example.

So 'they' are infact 'us', or if you wish to differentiate yourself personally from the mainstream, 'them'.

Obviously the media take a great deal of advantage but ultimately it's down to individual's. Saw the Money Program a few days back looking at the make-up industry and it's link with media. From research they found that after looking at the average women's magazine the reader became noticeably depressed concerning their appearance. Will people stop reading them though?
