I think it is, doesn't seem to be as busy as it used to (since the layout change)
I know i used to write a lot of crap but don't come on much anymore. Just seems all the topics about are the same old or just plain boring. |

I still prefer the old skool format although I think the return of threads such as…
My dick's as big as a kipper what animal is yours similar to?
Girls/Guys do you Spit/Swallow/Gargle?
I’ve got an itchy thing what should I do?
I just made myself Spag Bol - I did take pics for you guys but unfortunately I dropped my Camera into it when I was going for the overhead shot. Anyone got a manual for a Nikon 3684 Model?
…would improve the forum tenfold ____________________ Mellow Yellow

Steve, you need a combination of gammamanuk and NSR-Andy to make them threads. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. I wouldn't go as far as 'shit' but I don't find it as interesting as I used to.
I found it interesting when people wrote reports about stuff they'd done - they took the time and effort to put together an interesting read, maybe with some photos. It wasn't always about a hugely fascinating event, but there are some people on here with decent writing skills and an honest way of speaking about what they've been up to.
There have been times when I'm bored that I've gone back and read these uber posts, be they the guys off touring, trackday reports written with enthusiasm or just a rideout reported back in a readable style.
Nowadays there doesn't seem to be as many posts like that. Maybe the people who used to do decent write ups aren't doing anything notable any more, maybe they can't be bothered writing it up cos they don't think the majority would be interested... I don't know what it is, but I know it's something Korn was trying to encourage with the creation of the 'Show and Tell' section.
The sheer volume of simple questions seems to outweigh the potentially interesting stuff anyway. I've got no problem with folk asking questions, but when a straight answer could be found via google in less time than it takes to post, it seems a bit futile.
Why don't I post as much as I used to? Because I no longer get home and think 'wow, I must report that on BCF'. Maybe it's cos the site's big enough now that it's not like telling a few mates what I was up to, maybe its that I feel there's only so many times I want to write about 'my trackday' or 'I rode to Henley again'. I'm in a rut, I don't feel like inflicting it on everyone else.
There's also that internet thing of people just wanting to wind other people up (which I'm as guilty of as anyone else). It can be fun when you're involved, it's generally tedious as hell to watch. People are soo picky and critical on the 'net that I'm sure it stops a lot of people from being completely honest, and anything other than honesty is pretty dull to read.

I'd write much longer posts, and report on things I’ve done to do with biking, I’ve found people criticize my posts if I try and be serious about something, or I get three replies saying "Great, thanks mate".
I post little and often now because I didn’t think people enjoy reading about what you've been up to on your bike in long drawn out accounts.
If you post about the ride you had at the weekend seeing off a Noble from the lights, you get slated left right and centre for either going too fast, or thinking you are a riding god for going in a straight line.
I posted a video of myself riding, and TBH I know there are people who ride like madmen more than often on here, I was surprised to see members posting about the riding style but only criticism. ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

I agree with this part.. It's not just the volume of simple questions, it's the level of repetition.
the same questions asked over and over again.
I think there's an element of the 'eternal september', as more and more people come online, and more and more people start biking, you get a glut of newbies, who are noobs in both the biking and 'net sense.
BCF is possibly becoming a victim of it's own success, and seems to be going in a similar direction to Visordown, where then general channels are full of bollocks, but the regional or specialist areas are frequented with people interested in those specific things.
just my thoughts...

Because people wont argue they'll just slyly missuse Karma ratings because they think losing karma bothers you, it's perthetic...
argueing is much better.. but no one ever wants to carry it on,
a good example is Jay ####'s for sale post where he slated phoenix and got the topic moved to fights and flame wars,
it's all a little perthetic..
where is the love people? ____________________ Insta - FemFeral |

I think one of the real good points about BCF is the regional forums. I've had countless great days out with the people I've met through BCF |

I really enjoy the BCF, I love biking and talking to other bikers but I am not mechanically minded so when conversations turn to sprockets, valves and manifolds etc I am out of my depth. For me its the experience of riding that I like.
Afterall I'm still on restricted Liscence and don't feel 'qualified' sometimes to talk, but the benefit of this site is, it's not full of bike snobs or technoheads who talk down to you or belittle you, thats the beauty of this forum.
Keep it up |

I don't post as much as I used to. There's only so much going on in my life that I feel like inflicting on others (and I'm not one to post a monologue on my what happens everytime I go for a shit). Also, there's only so many times I can be drawn into the four millionth "Which 600cc bike is best" thread. So, it's only when a thread genuinely catches my attention, is original or I've done something different that I bother.

for a moment there I thought it was open season on Marc (BWFC4eva86) , but then I think since the change over its calmed down a bit or maybe that people can easily ignore posts they don't want to see, and on the flip side miss posts they might be itnerested in when it was all mixed together , had to be quick on those old forums posts would slip ontp page 2-3 in an hour , now posts can stay on page 1 for days. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die.
