XJR400R2 99plate, Ohlins Shocks, Brembo....

Hi All,

I've got a 1999 V Reg, Red XJR400R2. It has 17000 KMs on the clock. There are about 3000kms left on the rear tyre and loads on the front, the pads, c+s were changed about 500kms ago. It has been in two low speed spills during winter, hitting nothing except the road. Because of this, the bars are very slightly bent, but definitly rideable and not uncomfortable, the exhaust has scratches and some road wear at the end of the can, both oil pump cases are worn because they acted like crash bobbins really. the headlight fairing has scratches in but could be filled and sprayed quite happily.

The damage is purely cosmetic and this bike is ready to ride away. It was MOTd last month which is way after the spills so i guess that shows that it's ok, and obviously now it's T+Td till may 2007. the rear shocks are leaking slightly, but this doesn't affect the handling or function of the shocks, otherwise it wouldn't have passed the MOT.

I have done research into getting the bike sorted back to mint condition, and including having the shocks overhauled, it would cost £350, with brand new parts from fowlers and the shocks being done by pro's.

This is not the most common bike by any means, but it looks sweet, it's very big for a 400 (it's genuinly 600 size, rather than being able to 'pass' for it.) and its got the little gucci bits like the brembo calipers, ohlins rear shocks and full digital OEM dash.

It is restricted, and has the paperwork for it, but i will take those out for you if you prefer, and it also has a datatool system 3 alarm and immobilizer. It also has no mirrors, the stalks are there, but some lovely youfs broke them off a few weeks back [B)]
