What are people's thoughts on this bike?

I think it looks pretty decent, considering I wasn't around during the era of British-built Triumph, Royal Enfield, BSA, etc. I sat on one at Fowlers, Bristol, and it looks like a lot of fun!

I doubt I'd ever own one - I don't think they'd have much to offer against the lighter, seemingly more capable Japanese scramblers, but it's a nice idea nonetheless...

They looks ok, but not sure id want to ride one as the sort of people you see riding them normally seem to be in their 50s and 60s. I was told they were never really meant to go offroad, meant to be based on the original offroad road bikes which were popular in the US which were only really used for the road.

Well yeah you wouldn't use one for motocross! But I would imagine they would handle trails and grass well - Steve McQueen style! Very Happy

Looks pretty, might make an ok, if extremely overpriced, road bike.

Wouldn't use it for dirty stuff given other options.

The name "scrambler" is simply there to get the old folks back into biking. Trying to re-live their youth of scrambling an old clapped out POC in the middle of a feild when they were younger.

The people who buy this bike, will never actually take it anywhere near a feild.

The owner will be far too busy cleaning it/posing around on the roads instead and telling everyone at the carpark bike meets how capable it is offroad ect ect ect.

I think that bike looks gorgeous and I am a 16yo driving a moped by the way. If you can find one in good nick it might be worth a buy, store it in your garage for a year and see what happens.
