Onboard fast laps of most of the British circuits, if you're doing a trackday and wondering what the circuit is like - this is how they should be done. Obviously you shouldn't try to go quite this fast on your first trackday though... Wink

Arrow Brands Hatch (Indy) - 5.98 Mb wmv
Arrow Brands Hatch (GP) - 10.86 Mb wmv

Arrow Cadwell Park - 10.77 Mb wmv
Note: there is now a mickey mouse chicane between Mansfield and the runup to the mountain, designed to slow you down.

Arrow Donington (National) - 9.96Mb wmv
Arrow Donington (GP) - 11.55Mb wmv

Arrow Knockhill - 6.75Mb wmv

Arrow Mallory Park - 6.16Mb wmv

Arrow Oulton Park - 11.67Mb wmv

Arrow Rockingham - 8.97Mb wmv

Arrow Silverstone (National) - 11.46Mb wmv
Arrow Silverstone (GP) - missing video, sorry
Note: also now has a mickey mouse chicane, you enter it through Luffield and it spits you out just before Woodcode. Again designed to slow bikes down a little bit.

Arrow Snetterton - 8.69Mb wmv

Arrow Thruxton - 9.69Mb wmv

Yeah and you may notice that the new chicane adds about 30 seconds to the lap time. Nothing to do with the sedate pace that I am riding of course. Embarassed (At least it gives you a good chance to view the track. Razz )

Croft on a bike! Shocked

It's bumpy enough in a bloody car, let alone going quicker on a bike! Laughing

It's a very nice circuit actually, not noticeably bumpy as far as I remember. Quite long track but it's got a bit of everything in there, I hope to visit again this year - even if it is a 600 mile trip! Laughing

Croft is 50 miles from me, the next nearest one is 160 miles, so I guess its my local. Id like to find a video of it so I can learn the track in time for summer.

BSB went there last year but I cant find a video of that. And its not very well known.

Hi

3 Sisters is a very tight track. Mainly a kart track, but also used for Supermotos. A friend does a few track days there on an old Ducati Pantah.

Wandered up to take some pics there and PB were busy doing pics for an article with a GSXR1000, Vertimati (sp) and an RS125. The lap times were not that much different. Don't think the article got published.

All the best

Keith

Yeah, I'd like one of those too!

That Mallory vid is before Edwina's was added. Here's one I made earlier showing the new circuit:

A normal DV video camera - in my case, a Sony TRV30E - fixed to a properly mounted tank camera mount available from https://www.camera-mount.com *

The resulting video I edited using Windows Movie Maker.

* er, that's me, by the way Wink

I take some quite crap lines at points, so don't take it as a guide, but might give you a bit of an idea of the circuit:

These vid's are absoluty tops! They might have a few chicanes missing or a grass bank where there is no longer one, but you can still learn alot about a track before you ever turn a wheel with these!

I'm thinking of putting the laptop on top of the yoke on my race bike and sitting on it (both paddocks stands under it of course!) and pre-tend practicing using these vid's. Laughing Thumbs Up

Anyone got any upto date ones?

Could this be pinned as it's great for people to look at tracks before they get there.

Cheers
