Well, had my test yesterday, failed for the most stupid reason, had a different bike for the test that id been learning on, and just couldnt get the feel for the back break, so giant 30 foot skid on the emergency stop.

Oh well, retest in 2 weeks, everything else was ok, although my stability isnt too good, if i fail again, i guess im going to have to get a 125 for a few months, then do the das test later, poop and more poop.

Unlucky mate , but stick at it - i was exactly the same when i failed first time round but passing makes it all go away and leaves you with a smile you can't get rid of for days . Laughing

30 foot skid! Laughing How fast were you going?

Next time leave the back brake well alone - just rest your foot on it to make it look like you are using it.

You see, that was the plan, but the pedel had about an inch and a half of travel then BANG. So on the stop, i went to rest on the pedel, and full on lock, instant, not a little at the end, and from panic i let go of the front break so went weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Left most of the tyre on the road.

Inch and a half of free play on the rear brake sounds like far too much :S

Mine's adjusted to 2cm before brakes come on.

Christ! Why do people let this be done to them. Stick up for yourselves ffs and demand the bike you learn on or a refund, or free time.

DAS costs wayyy too much money for these unesserary extra problems.

LOL, it was a silver er5, i thought it was the same, and so did they, only figured it out at the test centre 10 mins before the test.

I think i was doomed from the start.
