my mate who is a copper always has interesting tales to tell.
last week there was an armed robbery in gornal that got into the local paper. What didnt get in the local paper, was that when the robber set on the securicor bloke, a 50 year old bloken had a go at beating up the robber and was fairly successful until others got out of the car to help their mate
The robbers made off with the money bag thing in their stolen m3 but were then chased by a bloke on a ninja who happened to be passing. He kept up with them for a fair bit through red lights and all sorts. Initially the police thought he was part of the gang and police were sent to his house (from his reg) but although he broke many traffic laws trying to keep up with the robbers (red lights etc) he wasnt charged.

Another interesting thing from my copper mate may be something some of you already know. For your first assault you will just get a caution. So if some chav is annoying you and you lash out, if its your first offence, you wil just get a caution. You have to admit to it though. Ok maybe it sounds obvious but i like it that the first punch is free.

No luck for me then.

I got a caution for GBH when I was 16 because it was a week or 2 after I was out of school and bumped into an old school bully.

I kicked seven shades of sh1t out of him. Luckily he didn't want to press charges. The copper I was talking to said to me on the sleigh that he understand why I did it, but still had to caution me because I caused an offence.

Made me feel better Thumbs Up Nothing like getting hold of someone you hate and giving them a good kick in. Laughing

but for cautions and stuff you STILL get your finger prints taken and DNA stuck on the police database , which is manned by monkies who will most likely sell your information to insurers and mortgage companies (hear about the change in policy , about any life insurance policy over 250K needs your DNA to be analysed),

I dare say that our definitions of assault differ.

Not true, my friend got arrested then sent to court & had to pay a big fine for assault. Depends on how serious.

Obviously the guns were replicas as the biker was not shot at Wink

for all i know he was shot at.

probably quite hard to hit a bike from a moving car

and i agree it must have been pretty cool doing silly speeds knowing you are doing it for the good of the community and arent going to get caught.

my copper mate also told me that normally cops can only go 20mph above the speed limit, but for chasing armed robbers, there is no limit

as my copper mate now has quite a lot of fighting experience, I asked him what was the most effective thing to do if caught one on one. He said a punch to the throat does the job. So that might be useful to know one day.

Until the people in the sports saloon (who have stolen it and dont give a shit what happens to it) come to their senses and reverse over the do-gooder, flattening both him and the bike in the process. Thats what I would have done anyway, as the saying goes 'as thick as thieves'.

That is a pile of shit mate and should not be taken seriously. There are varying degrees of assault and even the least serious is highly unlikely to result in a caution.

I think if they think you did it and you deny it, you are charged and may get convicted.

so best to come clean and and say you wont do it again.
