it sounded a bit like a normal japanese twin, no clutch sounds.

here is some low quality sounds, but gives an idea, and yes i should have probably used the choke to start the bike, but meh.

I'm as thick as poo.
I just don't have a clue what that is. Does it have a function?
It just looks like a colander bolted to the side of your bike.

Laughing

It's known as an open clutch cover, not sure what the purpose is other than tart.

Unfortunately Wave's audio on his cam is a bit pants, otherwise you can hear the difference when he pulls the clutch in and out.

Looks good Wave Smile

I can see you being the kind of girl who'd sit on a Duke with an open clutch cover and Termis and be not far off an orgasm Wink

Aye... I heard the rattle alright. Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up It's a very very nice open clutch cover thingy wave2k.
Admittedly, besides rattling I still don't understand what it's all about but I have no doubts in my mind that it's cool as fuck. Everybody else says it is so it must be. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Idea

It's a factory race kit dry clutch.

Can do you one for your bandit for £4000 if you want one.

Nice, but the only problem with the carbon cover is it won't save the clutch in an accident. I switched to an ally one for this reason, as my carbon one didn't do squat when the bike went over.

I like the way the crash cover on that Gixxer is held on with alloy bolts Thumbs Up

Guy I used to know called Zak Barry (Evolution 1) had a clutch like that on his old Gixxer, sucker made 161bhp and that was over 6yrs ago I think.

Thumbs Up

I heard one on a monster, made the bike shound shit.

Isn't their main purpose to prevent the clutch burning out by allowing better cooling?

Open covers prevent a build up of clutch dust.

Open covers prevent a build up of clutch dust.

And allow in grit, sand, birds, small rodents, children's fingers...
