yeah ive got a set of contis on my zxr400, i cant fault them at all. i can get full lean angle with them,(exhaust, faring and footpeg have been ground down a little).
they are also great in the wet, i was nailing it away from the lights to try to spin the rear up but they just hung on to the road like it was a hot sumers day.
ive also had a set of 020s they were a good touring tyre but thats all they were good for, they didnt give me the confidence becouse they like to slide when you need the grip.
d208s are good sports tyres, ive had a few and they stick very well, but i did find that if you are throtle happy they soon wear out. ____________________ Its better to live your life for one hour as a tiger, Than it is to live your whole life like a worm.

think it's the continental i have on the rear and a dunlop on the front (like that when i got the bike)..
the continental i managed to get down to 1mm on the first sunny day i had on it as it was a new tyre, good grip, good feel from it and seemed good in the wet, too.. no moments with it. I've done over 2.5k and i need a new one on a zxr750. didn't last that long.
I'll be looking at something that'll last a bit longer this time. |

Just out of interest, is it a sport attack or a road attack you have fitted to the rear? ____________________ I want a big boys bike, preferably a Speed Triple. To date I have ?7:42p stashed away to put towards one. Need to get it in the bank & earning interest asap. |

cheers everyone
think I'll go for the conti road attack's then, seem highly praised by those who've used them and I read something about them putting 12% more rubber on the road than other tyres which sounds useful ____________________ "he who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man"- Dr. Johnson |

well..... placed an order for some conti road attack's. Managed to get the pair for 129 quid which I think isn't too bad and I'm looking forward to seeing what they're like after all the rave reviews:

Followed that link. Hell of a good, thorough review but only after getting through 2 rears and one front.
Something he said at the end interested me. I've been considering putting a sport attack on the front of my bike because of the sides wearing out long before the centre and he too was of the same opinion.
Let us know how you get along with them. ____________________ I want a big boys bike, preferably a Speed Triple. To date I have ?7:42p stashed away to put towards one. Need to get it in the bank & earning interest asap. |
