Came home from work as usual today. This envolves riding the bike up a dirt track behind the house, put the side stand down, get off and push the bike backwards up concrete drive into the garden, so that the bike is parked up behind my shed.

Anyway I have put put up double gates to make access a lot more easy, usually the gates are left open during the day.
But today they were closed but not shut.

So I dismount the bike as usual, side stand down on the dirt track. Make sure that the bike is stable and open the gates. But as soon as I turn my back on it CRASH! Bike lying on the floor, left hand side down, with a dust cloud hanging over. 'Fuck, bollocks, tits' I say.

I managed to lift up (suprisingly) said bike and quickly check for any damage. minor scratch and scuff marks to fairings and mirror casing and indicator housing.
Luckily indicator lenses, clutch lever and gear shift intact though.

Seems like the old GSX750F is a bullet proof bike Thumbs Up

ouch, coulda been worse i guess.

maybe it'd be worth putting a paving slab down on the track, so you got somewhere to balance your bike securley?

I had the same thing happen to me a couple years ago. Opened gate, looked round to see my bike starting to go. I managed to grab it as it was going down but already past the point of no-return. Just about managed to lay it down softly with my boot underneath to prevent fairing damage.
