Hey,

Hopefully someone can help,

I have purchased a Dog Cam and The Camera as mention above and recorded a ride on my bike.

The problem i'm having is that when the camera is connected to the PC (Cables in) The PC itself does not detect the camera.

Now i have installed the software and connected it the way the manual says.

So I am stumped, any help will as always be very much appreciated

Cheers

Pete

I take it your connecting through USB?
are you using windows xp?
if so have you got service pack on ?
the camera will be usb 2 i should think so maybe a driver update for your usb ma be in order, if not then somebody with more brains will be along shortly i would think.

Have you got USB2? I know with my digital camcorder, the USB wouldn`t pick it up so I bought a firewire card.

My new PC though detects it straight away via USB.

Sounds like a likely cause, my old PC didn't have it.

I bought a firewire card and software off of Ebay for about £8.

It came from china!

I have followed the instructions to the letter, it doesn't mention an usb mode. Is there one?

You cant connect the 270 through usb, well you can but not for video only stills. Only the 290 (says in the manual). I had to go and buy a firewire cable from maplins to connect it. Then all you do is connect it up to the pc and put the camcorder into play back mode and open up windows movie maker. Then click on capture video from device and you there. Very Happy
