Hi, i took the tank off of the CBR to get to the air filter for a clean. All went fine but now the tank is back on it seems quite loose, when i go over large bumps in the road it rattles against the 'bracket'. Also it can mover very slightly from side to side. It looks fine and there doesn't look to be another way it could go on, any Ideas??? Thanks

I don't know exactly how that bikes tank attaches, but I am almost willing to bet it hooks over two pegs at the front then bolts down at the back.

There are normally two rubber bungs on the 'pegs' at the front (look like rubber doorstops). Bet you've lost one or both of them.

That sounds like it could be the problem. It definintely bolts down at the back and at the front there is like a 2 and half inch wide 'bracket' with a small hole in the middle that looks like its meant to go onto something. Im going to get the tank off on the weekend when i got less petrol in it and have a good look. Thanks for your help.

Hi scott666.

As you have had all the experience it seems (good and bad) with this tank, could you help us out over at https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=92373

I hope you are still around. You'd really be helping at least 2 of us out!
