CBR400 Advice?

Right, someone here must have owned a CBR400
Im currently thinking of buying one after passing my test, the thing is, im not a small guy, coming in at around 6ft3. I want to hear from the owners of the CBR400's not just size, performance, reliability etc. But the most important thing is how well did you fit on the bike, and do you think i will be able to? I have a 99' Fireblade in the garage that fits me just fine, but no doubt the 400 will be slightly (hopefully JUST slightly) smaller?

Well the tri arm the older ones are now becoming abit rarer and so are parts. Great hadeling bike even if the rear is a realy weird size. Ive never had any real problems with my mums one. Best bet is to go for a later gull arm nc29. Parts are alot more available. But yeah great bikes in the right hands. Thumbs Up

They are VERY small, but you should fit on it fine. Your just going to be aware that your on a tiny bike Wink

if you find it uncomfortable and definately want a 400, try the zxr, as its physically the largest of the bunch.

Ive sat on a ZXR600 (i think) and that was too small Confused

I suppose if i tried i could fit on it. Ive been told that adjustable rearsets are also a possibility?

cbr 400 seat height is best for people under 5ft, they can still get both feet flat on floor.
My sister is 4"11 and she can get flat feet on my little brothers gull arm

The CBR4s the smallest bike I've owned - and was a little too small for me even though I'm only 5'7ish. After 40 or so miles, I just wanted to get off the cramped buzzy thing.

Good build quality, a few novel details (the fold out pillion pegs and boot space for example), not so great looks (seems a bit unproportioned) and a gutless delivery which needs thrashing above 10,000rpm to make any decent headway. Brilliant handling though - flies around corners with ease (I was having to pick it up and lay it down on many occasion, for I was hitting apexes too early).

Only lasted 5 weeks before I had enough of the thing (was using my bikes everyday at the time), traded it in for my RVF...
