Your biggest problem will be finding an exhaust for an NC21. NC21 and 24 are frought with problems, I'd steer clear personally unless you like fixing things.

if its the collector box and its the same as a 24

1) it will cost about 200 pounds for the collector box
2) you will have to devote your life to finding one (i was lucky!)
3) you will have to drop the engine to fit it

unfortunately bits are rare and people know it hence the high prices, with collector boxes for some reason you have more chance of seeing a rocking horse taking a dump on your front lawn, i think they break a lot because they get so badly abused, ive had mine 2 years now with no major trauma!

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

mines done 41000 miles now too

honestly if you do get one make sure you change the oil and filter about every 3000 - 4000 miles, i do mine every 3000 and it has never failed me. Servicing these little screaming engines is the key to keeping them running nicely!

A 300 quid NC21 is only good as a bike to run into the ground.

That means fix the exhaust as cheaply as you can - weld some scrap steel onto the exhaust , paint over it, and get an exhaust bandage on there for extra protection.

Do not fall into the NC21/24 money trap. Its very deep. If the bike needs an expensive fix, sell it as is.

Luckly for me my sisters boyfriend is a welder! so i its probally a better idea if he fixes it in stead of having to drop the hole engine out! to do with the back tyre are tyres easy to replace?

If you're near/in London, you should be able to source one if you look in the right places, plenty of couriers seem to be able to get them round the clock - seem pretty reliable too.
