Just taped up a faulty wire i had & went to take her up my road to see if it would cut out & the bike wouldn't go into 3rd gear, theres no click or anything it just won't go. It's then quite hard to get it into 1st & neutral, it will only go upto 2nd gear.

What's the problom you rekon?

Sure you didn't bend the gear shift rod when it fell over?

The only part that hit the floor was the indicator & engine cover nothing else hit.

Does sound like the only thing that can have gone wrong - the shaft bending. How about the clutch - do you have plenty of leverage when you pull the lever? It might not be fully disengaging..

Even if it is the shaft, it can be fixed without a second mortgage.

Yup, plenty of leverage, i'm taking it to the shop on Monday hopfully they can sort it out.
