I've said it somewhere else so i'll look it up and copy and paste back on here

EDIT: Found it.

My dad used to the F650 1997 model.

He rode it back to England from here as he was sure it was that bullet proof.

He wasn't wrong, not a single hiccough on the 14,000 km journey except the sidestand kill switch playing up in the last country...Germany, home of BMW!

We're doing a round the world trip in a couple of years, i'll be on a F650 Dakar and he'll be on the XR400

Apparently Jawa are sticking the engines in its newest street bike too

and yes I've 0wned lots of them , not in the ownership sense but riding past them on my way home from work

It's a Rotax. Same as, well, loads of bikes. dull as ditchwater.

capable, reliable, comfy.. won't set the world alight in terms of performance,but if you're looking at buying one, then it's likely high-performance isn't a major criteria, so ignore the comments about them being "owned" on the road.
