Sailing, or Cruising on the Norfolk Broads. All I can say is what a marvellous holiday it was! Usually British holidays can be very dull and the weather is often unpredictable, but last week, well the early part anyway it was beautifully sunny and very VERY hot. I got majorly sunburnt and am now peeling.
The scenery is just amazing, down here in Somerset I am used to the rolling green hills, rather than the flat wetlands and reeds of Norfolk, but nevertheless it is still beautiful.
The boats are a different matter, they tend to be a bit cramped and handling them can be very weird! I tend to oversteer quite a lot on those big boats and with no previos boating experience, it is a surprise that they let you on those big boats with only 20 minutes tuition. The hardest part of controlling the boat is when it comes to Mooring up, but I found the best way of doing it was being smooth and slow with everything and we came through fine.
The only bad bits of the holiday were: -
- The rain at the end of the week
- Me and girlfriend getting dripped on by the condensation of the windows.
Here are some photos for you to enjoy... (The first one is the boat we was hiring)

Glad you had a good time. I went on a sailing holiday on the Norfolk Broads many years ago. Our boat had a sail mind! ____________________ <Simple> no I'm shaven Jon

I love the scenery up there aswell. Looks like a great holiday.
My family were on the broads last week! I biked up to visit them Sunday and stayed the night, Monday was scorching hot! My grandad nearly fainted. |

We started off at Potter Heigham, but went to many places during our stay, Wroxham on Sun, Gt Yarmouth on Mon, down to Reedham, Lowestoft and back up to Stalham before coming back home. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Motorboating
I used to sail alot on my dads sailing boat that he had down graves end sailing club, only used to follow the coast or the thames estuary but having also been on motorboats like that one sailing is 100 times more diffecult mainly because you have to use sails and tact the boat with the wind which means leaning the boat right on its side and in bad weather on a choppy sea its a nightmare. ____________________ Past:NRG50,AF1125(x2),NSR125RR,ZZR250,CX500,VFR400,KR1S,ZZR600(x2),CB400N,YZF1000(x2),KH125,Z200,FX400R,CBR954RR(x2)GPZ500S,GT550,VFR750F(x2),RD350N,XR650R,CBR600F,CB250,KDX250,YZF750R,CRM250,400EXC,KLR650,TTR600RE,DR350S,R100GSPD,RGV250,VMAX1200,DL650,KZ750 Present:G650XC,C12,CRF450X,1190ADV |

Got the boat from Herbert Woods through Blakes holidays.
Went with my Mum, Dad, Sister and my girlfriend and yes it was a 4-6 berth boat, which my sister was not happy about when she had to sleep on the uncomfy sofa.
Tribal we had a drink at "The Waveney" when moored on the Oulton Broad. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it.
