Hi, im a new member. Nice to see you all.


My 16th birthday is coming up and i want to get a Rieju Rs2 Matrix 50cc.

Is this a good choice? I really like the look of relica's so i want somthing that looks like the real deal not just a ped. I have 1200 to spend. I need bike, insurance, provisional, helmet and the compulsiory driving course.

How much would a Rieju Rs2 Matrix cost second hand?
Isit a good idea to get somthing second hand?

Please can you fill me in about everything i don't really have a clue.

yea it's nice. think though, what's the point in spending all that money on something that you certainly will want to get rid of as soon as you're 17?
by something 2nd hand that has been looked after, DO NOT buy it new.
once you're 17 you'll be able to get something more powerful. again don't buy new, just get something that you can get through your test on.
when you have your full license, go nuts and spend on a lovely machine!

What are the best replica 50's out there then?

How much should i spend on it second hand?

Do these bikes give up if you do lots of milage?

best i would say rs50 but the rs2 uses the same engine as the rs2. i just sold my rs1 older vsrion than rs2 i sold it for £600

Rs2's are small and cheaply made.
you have to lift the petrol tank to put 2t oil in and get to the battery, on the RS you only have to unlock the seat and they ar emuch more accessable.

Rs has a bigger fuel tank.
RS is wider and longer and slightly higher.

Which does cog head have, the rs2 or rs?

How much does the insurance on these cost for a 16 year old with no experiance?

Also how many miles to the litre do they do?

You would have to shop around for a decent insurance quote, normally fully comp is too expensive for young owners with sports replicas, I was getting quotes of £2000+ for fully comp on my Cagiva Mito, eventually I managed to get TPFT cover for £676 by phoning around lots of different companys, so I think you might have to do the same. Wink

not sure about the amount of fuel they take, but it's probably the same as most wee bikes, about 1-120 miles on 8 litre's of petrol.
although that's kinda inconsequential as it'll be quite unlikely you'll be making any long haul trips on a 50cc Smile
