Sounds.... different?

Just took my RS125 out this lunch to renew my tax, and after riding it for a few minutes I noticed it sounded differnent to the way it normally sounds...

There was no tinny noise or anything, but it was alot louder than normal... the noise coming from the front of the bike rather than back at the exhaust...

Any ideas?

There was nothing wrong with performance really, just didn't sound the way it normally does.

could be blowing at the front were the exhaust joins the cylinder barrel or your exhaust gasket gone

What am I looking for if I want to check these things?

when the engines running put you hand near where the exhaust joins the barrel and if you can feel air against your hand its probably your gasket gone or exhaust bolts ahve come lose also check if there is any holes in the exhaust aswell
