We got him out testing a Rocket3 this weekend, finally. I think the look on his face (even under the helmet!) says it all, and he'd only u-turned it outside the shop at this point!

What did he think? I've looked at them a few times up at BS bikes in Stoke and they just look way too heavy.

He was impressed, but not sure if it's a bike he'd actually like to own now he's ridden it. He tested a Tiger from the same place just before the Rocket and he reckons the rocket was a fantastic experience but the Tiger was a much better all-round bike.

He said his thumbs hurt afterwards from straining to hold on when it was accelerating! It was OK rolling in slow traffic but just too big to risk splitting lanes most of the time, he said the acceleration in all the gears was just mental but in the first few gears as you took off the bike kind of shook from side to side.

He took it on the motorway to see what it could do as he kept running out of road (we were around Hinckley/Leicester) and he reckons it will comfortably do 135 in top at about 5k revs (it actually revs to 7.5k IIRC) but without any sort of screen the wind and just trying to hold on was horrendous so he backed off.

Once he was on it, it really didn't look that big,

Luxy, tis a cheapo one I picked up from Donington the other week! Thumbs Up

He needed something lightweight but waterproof and with armour for the summer, spotted those on offer at £30 so I got him one.
