I've lost the mot cert for my van and need to get tax, do I need to mot it again or is there a way of getting a duplicate?
Thanks

I think if it's one of the new computerised MOT certificates you can get one from any MOT testing station. Don't know how much they charge though.

If you have a new type V5 and it was a computer generated MOT cert, you can do it online without the MOT in front of you. Just need the number off the V5.

Otherwise, you always used to contact the place that did the MOT and they could do you a duplicate (for a fee). Not sure if this is still the case with the new style ones.

Like stinkwheel says, you can re-mot it (if you like wasting money) or go back to where it was done and they will have a record of it, doesnt matter if it wasnt computerized when you had it done. They will charge you though, DONT pay any more than 10 quid because that is all they legally can charge nowadays.
